Imperial Electric Introduces Universal Escalator Motor Series
Designated as the YFT160 series, the Imperial Electric Universal Escalator Motors with brake assemblies are designed specifically to meet and / or exceed the reversing & starting specifications for state of the art, automatic escalators and moving walkways. A spring applied electronically released brake and built in cooling fan is factory installed in the assembly and laboratory tested prior to shipping.
The YFT160 uses a self cooling, six pole, three phase, AC induction motor providing high performance, high starting torque and long term reliability along with low operating noise and vibration. Motor ratings and mounting dimensions mate with industry standard gear boxes to IEC standards for easy operation and maintenance.
Available in 7.5 kW and 11 kW power output ratings (10 and 15 HP 16.2 and 23A respectively), the motors are rated for 30 starts per hour using Wye/Delta, across the line or soft starting configurations. IEC, CE and CSA approved, the 3 phase, 50/60 Hz motor voltages range from 200 to 500 VAC.
